The University of South China won 1 gold medal and 1 silver medal in the 23rd National University Track and Field Championships

On August 15th, the 23rd National University Track and Field Championships came to an end at the Huangshi Olympic Sports Center Stadium in Hubei Province. In this competition, 3,649 athletes from 490 college and university teams across the country competed in 27 major events and 161 minor events. The athletes from the University of South China fought bravely on the field and won 1 gold medal and 1 silver medal. Student Su Borui was selected as an outstanding athlete, and teacher Huang Cheng was named an outstanding coach.

The National University Track and Field Championships is the largest national track and field event under the China School Sports Federation, with the largest number of participants from domestic universities and the widest range of participating universities. It is a national event for reviewing the track and field training achievements of college students across the country and selecting track and field talents. The athletes Li Jiahao, Su Borui, Dong Lijie and Deng Qianyun from the University of South China, relying on their tacit cooperation and tenacious perseverance, overcame numerous obstacles all the way and won the gold medal in the 4×400-meter mixed relay event with outstanding performances, demonstrating their strong team strength and excellent competitive level. Athlete Deng Qianyun from the University of South China won the silver medal in the women's 100-meter hurdles event with her solid skills and excellent performance.
