2 golds, 3 silvers and 3 bronzes, National College Students' Medical Innovation Contest

From August 15th to 19th, the 11th National College Students' Medical Innovation Contest and the final of the "Belt and Road" International Competition, sponsored by the Chinese Society for Higher Education, came to an end at Shandong University. This contest covered six disciplines including basic clinical medicine, forensic medicine, stomatology, preventive medicine, pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine and interdisciplinary studies, and had separate tracks set for the international competition. It was divided into two major categories: experimental design and innovative research. More than 4,000 teachers and students from over 200 universities in 10 countries around the world, as well as more than 200 guests and evaluation experts participated in it. Both the scale of the event and the number of participants reached a record high.

The University of South China had an outstanding performance in this contest. It won a total of 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 3 bronze medals. Meanwhile, it also won 2 Best Style Awards and 1 Best Teamwork Award, and won the third place in the national final, achieving a dual improvement in both the quantity and quality of the awards.
