
The 24th National University Robot Contest ROBOCON recently came to an end in Shenzhen. The "Hengshan π" robot team of the University of South China won 4 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 1 third prize at the national level in the contest, as well as the "All-round Award for Legged Robots", the "Best Design Award for Legged Robots" and the "Outstanding Instructor Award", totaling 12 honors.

The "Hengshan π" robot team was established in 2016. Currently, there are 87 members in the team, ranging from freshmen to senior students. The four major groups, namely the mechanical group, the electrical control group, the vision group and the operation and maintenance group, work closely together and have formed an efficient innovation system. The team has been successively approved for 3 national-level college student innovation projects and 27 provincial-level projects, and has cumulatively applied for 11 patents. It has also won honorary titles such as the "Top Ten College Student Innovation Teams of the University of South China" and the "Nomination for the Most Beautiful College Student Team".
