The evaluation work of the "First Leader Project" for employment and entrepreneurship in regular higher education institutions in Hunan Province is organized and implemented by the Education Department of Hunan Province. Its aim is to further strengthen and compact the responsibilities of employment and entrepreneurship work for college graduates in higher education institutions of our province, and improve the level of employment and entrepreneurship work in colleges and universities across the province. It is carried out through a combination of self-inspection by schools, verification of daily work records, and on-site inspections by inspection teams, and is evaluated once every two years. This evaluation focuses on assessing the work carried out from September 2022 to August 2024.

On February 25, 2023, the first spring job fair for the graduating class of 2023 at University of South China was held at the sports field of the North Campus in Hongxiang Campus. A total of 432 employers from all over the country provided 17,576 job positions.

In recent years, the university has always been concerned about the employment issues of its graduating students. The employment placement rates of the graduating classes of 2023 and 2024 have continuously remained among the top in the province.

This evaluation as an excellent unit of the provincial "First Leader Project" is a full affirmation of the university's employment and entrepreneurship work. Taking this as a new starting point, the university will continue to deepen its employment services.
