Yu Tao, male, born in 1972, a native of Weihai, Shandong. He is a member of the Communist Party of China, a second-level professor, Doctor of Engineering, a postdoctoral fellow, and a doctoral supervisor. He is an expert enjoying the special government allowance from the State Council. He is currently a member of the Party Committee, vice president of the University of South China, and head of the United Front Work Department of the Party Committee.

He is engaged in research on reactor physics and experiments, digital and intelligent reactors, etc. He has presided over 1 key project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 4 general projects, 7 projects such as the National Key Research and Development Program, 8 projects including those on nuclear energy development, defense technology foundation, and reprocessing special projects, more than 20 other provincial and ministerial-level projects, and more than 30 horizontal projects such as those on nuclear power technology support. He has published 5 monographs, published more than 80 papers included in SCI/EI, and won 2 second prizes of the provincial science and technology progress. He has visited countries such as Germany, the UK, Russia, Japan, and South Korea for academic exchanges.

He has successively served as the deputy dean and Party secretary of the School of Nuclear Science and Technology of the University of South China, the director of the Science and Technology Department, the director of the Party and Administrative Office, the dean of the School of Nuclear Science and Technology, and a member of the Party Committee and head of the Organization Department of the University of South China.

Responsibilities in Charge: The United Front Work Department of the Party Committee, the Student Work Department of the Party Committee (Student Affairs Office) / Armed Forces Department (Student Financial Aid Center), the Postgraduate Work Department of the Party Committee, the Planning and Infrastructure Construction Department, the Security and Confidentiality Department / Security Department, the Logistics Service Center (Campus Management Center), the Confidentiality Office, the Communist Youth League Committee, the Student Union, and the Postgraduate Student Union.
