Yu Tao, male, born in 1972, a native of Weihai, Shandong Province, a member of the Communist Party of China, a second-level professor, a doctor of engineering, a postdoctoral fellow, a doctoral supervisor, and an expert enjoying special government allowances of the State Council. He is currently a member of the Party Committee and vice president of University of South China.

Director of the Key Laboratory of Advanced Nuclear Technology Design and Safety of the Ministry of Education, Leader of the Hunan Provincial World-Class Cultivation Discipline of "Nuclear Science and Technology", Head of the Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Leading Innovation Team of "Digital Nuclear Energy and Intelligent Design", Leader of the Hunan Provincial Natural Science Foundation Innovation Group of "Advanced Reactor Technology", Director of the Key Discipline Laboratory of "Reactor Digital Simulation and Technical Support" of China National Nuclear Corporation. Engaged in research on reactor physics and experiments, digital and intelligent reactors, etc. He/She has presided over 1 key project and 4 general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 7 projects including the National Key R&D Program, 8 projects such as nuclear energy development, national defense technology foundation, and post-processing special projects, more than 20 other provincial and ministerial projects, and more than 30 horizontal projects such as nuclear power technology support. He/She has published 5 monographs, more than 80 papers included in SCI/EI, and won 2 second prizes of Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. He/She has conducted academic visits to Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, South Korea and other countries.
