April 17th-20th, the 11th Symposium on Supramolecular New Materials, was held in USC. A total of 350 experts and scholars from over 100 universities and scientific research institutions across the country as well as representatives of relevant enterprises gathered together. Centering on the theme of "Creation and Application of Supramolecular New Materials", they explored the emerging hotspots in the interdisciplinary research of supramolecular science in multiple fields such as chemistry, pharmacy, medicine and materials science. Gao Shan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of South China, attended the opening ceremony of the symposium and delivered a speech.
At the opening ceremony, Professor Li Chunju (Tianjin Normal University), the chairperson of the conference and from, gave a speech. Professor Huang Feihe, the honorary chairperson and a Qiushi Distinguished Professor of Zhejiang University, introduced the basic situation of the symposium and the latest progress in the research on supramolecular new materials in China.

The symposium set up 2 award-winning reports, 9 plenary reports, 30 invited reports and 70 flash reports, and exhibited more than 50 high-quality academic posters. More than 110 experts from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Nanjing University, University of Science and Technology of China, Nankai University, Hunan University, Chinese Academy of Sciences and other institutions shared their latest research results around the theme.
The symposium presented the "Stoddart Science Foundation Scholar Award",which is given to young and middle-aged scientific and technological workers under the age of 65 (inclusive) who have made outstanding achievements in supramolecular chemistry and related fields. Professor Xia Haiping from Southern University of Science and Technology and Professor Cui Yong from Shanghai Jiao Tong University won the award and gave reports.

The symposium also selected the Stoddart Science Foundation Scholarship, the Outstanding Young Speaker Award of the Symposium on Supramolecular New Materials, the Poster Award of the Symposium on Supramolecular New Materials and other awards. Four people including Bu An from the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences won the Stoddart Science Foundation Scholarship, nine people including Hua Bin from Zhejiang University won the Outstanding Young Speaker Award of the Symposium on Supramolecular New Materials, and six people including Wang Songmeng from the University of South China won the Poster Award of the Symposium on Supramolecular New Materials, fully demonstrating the fruitful achievements in the construction of the talent echelon in the field of supramolecular new materials.
