
Basic Information
Born in 1966 into a military family in Beijing, male, majoring in molecular pharmacology.
Educational Background
· Graduated from Hengyang Medical College (now the University of South China) in 1989. Transferred to West China University of Medical Sciences in the junior year and obtained double degrees in clinical medicine and preventive medicine from both West China University of Medical Sciences and Hengyang Medical College.
· Postdoctoral fellow at the School of Medicine of New York University and Cornell University in the United States.
Work Experience
· In 1990, presided over the research project of the National Natural Science Foundation as a teaching assistant.
· In 1992, was promoted to associate professor by exception. At the end of the same year, went to Chulalongkorn University in Thailand as a senior visiting scholar.
· From 1993 to 1994, studied for the MPH degree at Boston University in the United States and then pursued a postdoctoral degree in molecular pharmacology.
· In 2008, was selected as one of the first batch of overseas high-level talents introduced from abroad. Resigned from overseas positions and returned to China to engage in innovation and entrepreneurship work.
· Currently serves as the chairman of Hayaocihang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and is in charge of the preparatory work for the National Engineering Research Center for the Development of New Traditional Chinese Medicine Compound Prescriptions.
Social Positions
· A representative of the 13th Hunan Provincial People's Congress.
· Vice president of the American Alumni Association of the Chinese Overseas Returned Scholars Association and vice president of the Hunan Overseas Returned Scholars Association.
Main Achievements
· In 1991, "WD Composite Iodine" obtained a national invention patent. In 1992, "WD Composite Iodine" won multiple awards including the Gold Medal of the China New Technology and New Product Expo.
· Undertaken and completed more than 20 projects such as national key research projects and obtained 4 new drug certificates.
· Set up the "Hunan Engineering Research Center for Combinatorial Biosynthesis and Natural Product Medicines" and the "National-Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Combinatorial Biosynthesis of New Drugs".
· Published more than 100 original papers in international top journals such as Science and The New England Journal of Medicine, and obtained more than 30 patent authorizations in China, the United States and other countries.
