Zheng Weimin, male, born in November 1964, Han ethnicity, a native of Hengyang, Hunan. He is a member of the Communist Party of China, Doctor of Engineering, a professor, a master's supervisor, a senior engineer at the researcher level, a national registered urban planner, and a registered science and technology consultant. He is currently a member of the Party Committee and vice president of the University of South China, and also serves as the dean of the Songlin School of Architecture, Design and Art.

He has successively served as the executive deputy dean of the Design Institute of Hunan Urban Construction College, the dean of the Design Institute of Hunan Urban Construction College, the dean of the Design Institute of Hunan City University, a member of the Party Committee of Hunan City University, and the vice president of Hunan City University, among other positions.

He mainly engages in research on urban and rural planning, ecological restoration, green architecture, and municipal engineering. He has presided over or participated in more than 10 provincial-level and above projects, published 22 high-level papers, and published 4 monographs. He has presided over and participated as a technical person in charge in more than 200 urban and rural planning, engineering design, and engineering consulting projects, and won more than 40 awards at the ministry, provincial, and municipal levels, including more than 10 ministry-level awards and more than 30 provincial-level awards. He has applied for multiple patents, registered more than 10 software copyrights, and won the Second Prize of the Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award once and the First Prize of the Yiyang City Science and Technology Progress Award twice.
