The peer review team commissioned by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development conducted an all-round assessment of the University’s bachelor program of civil engieering from Oct. 17 to 20.

In the course of the review, the mission conducted visited the library, the innovative workshops, engineering laboratories, interacted with teachers and students, reviewed the teaching files and observed classroom teaching.

At the feedback meeting, Prof Tong Xiaodong, head of the peer review mission, highly praised the merits and strongs, and pinpointed the existing problems and shortcomings and offered invaluable suggestions and recommendations for improvement and promotion.

The university attached vital importance to the peer review. Gao Shan, Party chief of the university, delivered a warm welcome speech at the welcome meeting. Zhang Zhuohua, president, extended his most sincere gratitude to the team for their three-day hard work, in-depth review, targeted diagnosis, matter-of-fact assessment, and constructive suggestions. The President also promised that the administration will follow the mission’s suggestions, provide the students with a wonderful platform to incubate their critical thinking, innovative capacity and the skills to solve practical problems.
