From 1 to 3 November 2019, the International Academic Seminar on "Radioactive Environment & Decommissioning treatment of Nuclear Facilities" in 2019 is held at the academic lecture hall of the library of the University of South China. The seminar is hosted by the University of South China and is co-organized by the "Nuclear Energy and Safety" model base for international sci-tech cooperation and other disciplinary platforms. Nearly 100 experts in radiation environment and nuclear facilities decommissioned management, university teachers, graduate students, and undergraduates majoring in the relevant fields attended the meeting.

Standing at a new historical starting point, the University of South China will take the opportunity of the success of this meeting to actively engage in the strategic demand of the national radioactive pollution prevention and control, and continuously carry out the research and development of the decommissioning and management of the uranium mining and metallurgical facilities, and make a positive contribution to the improvement of the national nuclear safety level.
