On December 21 afternoon, the strategic cooperation agreement on Hengshan Science Park was signed between the University and  Hengyang Municipal Government in the city hall .  

Attending the ceremony were Prof. Wang Hanqing, chairman of the University Council and his colleagues as well as officials with the local government.

Hengshan Science Park, an initiative by the city government, aims to provide arenas for  cutting-edge research and laboratory technology with promising market potentials.

 University of South China, the only yiben, or first-tier, institution of higher education in the city, has committed to its role as the flagship in the park. The local government has promised the privileges and conveniences for the University in terms of projects entry, funding and follow-up policies.
