Chongqing - USC won the Outstanding Winner Prize at the final of the 6th National Clinical Skills Contest of Medical Students, which is a record-making event since the contest was held in 2010 and in the university's history of its medical education.
Forty-two out of 115 teams nationwide won out from the six contest zones of the country and pushed their way into the semi final on May 23. After a fierce day, 20 teams made it into the final held on Sunday.
With their knowledge, expertise,and confidence, the four contestants of USC, namely Liu Jing, Lei Xiaoyan, Wu Wen, and Liu Chao, survived all the 6 rounds of the contest and demonstrated themselves excellently and impressively in the 128 clinical items.
Zou Shuliang, USC's Party chief , and Wen Gebo, president, extended their warmest congratulations to the contestants and all personnel involved at the news.
The candidates of the University were this year trained in and by the No. 1 Affiliated Hospital, with chef de mission Prof. Wangwenjun, vice director of the hospital.
The annual contest is sponsored by the Ministry of Education and was hosted this year by the Chongqing-based Third Military Medical University on May 23 and 24.
