Hengyang, September 5 -- A Framework Agreement on the educating and training of postgraduates was inked between China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd and University of South China.
The signing ceremony was presided by Prof. Ding Dexin, vice president of USC. At the ceremony, Prof. Zoushuliang, chairman of the University council, extended a warm welcome to the "friends from afar", made a brief introduction to the University and highlighted the significance of the cooperation between the two sister institutes.

Mr. Tang Jingyu, vice general manager of CNPE, expessed his gratitude to the host for its hospitality and good wills for the cooperation, and outlined the four reasons CNPE singled out USC for the prospective partner.
Mr Ding and Mr. Tang signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.
Both CNPE, a flagship in China's nuclear industry, and USC, an institute of higher education with all of nuclear-related disciplines, have evolved from their respective predecessors set up in late 1950s as subordinates of the then nuclear industry oriented Third Ministry of Mechanics.
