At 9:00 am. May 10, a great ceremony was held in the University’s auditorium to honor the upcoming Nurse Day, which falls on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of Modern Nursing.
The ritual began with an address by Prof Liao Li, dean of School of Nursing, carried on with the nurse cap awarding and the 210 to-be nurses’ swearing, and ended up with a graduate representative’s speech.
The University began its undergraduate program of nursing in 1980s, with its gradutates highly appreciated for their knowledge, skills, diligence and dedication.
