On the campus of the University, the peach blossoms are greeting April with its seductive colors and sweet scents at its prime time after a few nasty wet weeks.
There were lots of poems praising the charm and odor of the flowers in the history, home and abroad, one of which is quoted below for appreciation.
Peach Blossoms By Carl Sandburg
What cry of peach blossoms
let loose on the air today
I heard with my face thrown
in the pink-white of it all?
in the red whisper of it all?
What man I heard saying:
Christ, these are beautiful!
And Christ and Christ was in his mouth,
over these peach blossoms?
