From Dec. 11 to 14, the Peer Review Mission organized by the Ministry of Education is conducting a site inspection of the undergraduate education in the University.

Attending the Monday's welcome meetings are the 13 members of the Mission, Mr. Ge Jianzhong, vice director of the Department of Education of Hunan Province, Prof. Wang Hanqing, Party chief of the University, and Prof. Zhang Zhuohua, president of the University.

The University has a 60-year history of undergraduate education, and it is the second assessment by the MOE since the merger in 2000, the previous one conducted in 2005.
