Our Manufacture & Automation，Software Engineering and Civil Engineering programs have been certified by the Higher Education Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Education of China. The Nursing program has been certified by the Higher Education Nursing Professional Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education of China. The Clinical Medicine program is recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission, the Rwanda Higher Education Council, the Ghana Medical and Dental Council, the American Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates and other international institutions.

2. Duration

All programs are offered exclusively to full-time international students.

Non-degree Chinese Language Proficiency Program

The duration for the non-degree Chinese languageproficiency programs at least one semester.

Degree Program

The duration for an undergraduate program is 4 to 7 years, for postgraduate is 3 to 5 years, for doctoral student is 4 to 6 years.

Foundation Program

The candidate for a degree program but without the Chinese competence required by USC is supposed to undertake a foundation program (unless specified otherwise). The duration of foundation program for undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral students is no more than 2 academic years.

3.About the Application

3.1 Basic Requirements

The applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen (with over 4-year citizenship and no less than2 years residency record in the citizenship countries), aged 18 or above (Born before June 15,2007), with a valid foreign passport, good health and good conduct, and is willing to abide by the laws and regulations of China and the rules and regulations of USC.

3.2 Academic and Age Requirements

Language Requirements

For medical andotherprograms taught in Chinese, applicants shouldachieve no less than180 for HSK Level 4. Students who want to transfer to programs taught in Chinese should provide a HSK 4 certificate within the specified time for application.

Forengineering and other majors taught in English, applicants should be English speakers and graduates from senior high schools for English speakers (mother language or official language). Otherwise English proficiency certificates such as IELTS 6 and TOFEL80 are required.

For medical programs,applicants should achieve 80% or moreof the full marks in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology in the previous stage.

Age Requirements

A bachelor degree applicant should be younger than 25 years old with a high school diploma and an outstanding academic performance; if an applicant already has a high school or college diploma and wants to pursue a bachelor degree in USC, 30 is the cap of the age requirement.

A master's degree applicant should be under 35 years old and must have a bachelor's degree or the equivalent recognized by the Chinese government.

A doctoral degree applicant should be under 40 years old and must have a master's degree or the equivalent recognized by the Chinese government.

3.3 Procedures and Documents Needed for Application

From the year of 2019, international applicants need to make their applications through the university online application platform. Please visit the platform via https://usc.17gz.org/orhttp://apply.usc.edu.cn/ to do the application.Do Not mail hard copies.

The formal Admission Notice will be sent to accepted applicants, along with an E-mail through which they can find the link to download the Electronic Visa Application Form (JW202).Accepted applicants should bringtheirpassport, Admission letter, Visa Application Form (JW202), Physical Examination Record Form, etc. to the local ChineseEmbassy or Consulate and apply for a student visa (X visa),and register at the university on time.
