From October 25 to 26, the sub - forum meeting on Medical Precision Diagnosis and Treatment of the 2025 International Industry - University - Research - Application Cooperation Conference, hosted by the School Planning and Construction Development Center of the Ministry of Education and co - hosted by University of South China, was held at the Hongxiang Campus of University of South China. More than 200 scholars and postgraduates from universities, scientific research institutes and hospitals at home and abroad gathered together, focusing on the basic research and clinical transformation of medical precision diagnosis and treatment, conducting in - depth academic exchanges and exploring cooperation potential. Professor Xia Kun, the chairman of the conference and vice president of University of South China, attended the conference and delivered a speech.

Xia Kun extended a welcome on behalf of the university to the experts and scholars participating in the academic exchange. He introduced the history of University of South China's development, its disciplinary characteristics, the reform of deepening the integration of medical education, research, and clinical practice, as well as the exploration and practice of medical education reform. He also interpreted the theme of this conference. He hoped that top experts and scholars from home and abroad, as well as outstanding representatives from the clinical frontline, could share their insights and practical experiences, stimulate ideological exchanges, build consensus on cooperation, and promote more substantial industry-academia-research collaboration projects to take root, bear fruit, and achieve new breakthroughs in basic research, technological development, clinical application, and industrial transformation in precision diagnosis and treatment.

Li Le, Dean of the Graduate School of University of South China, introduced the purpose and significance of the International Industry-University-Research-Application Cooperation Conference hosted by the Ministry of Education. He hoped that this conference would become a "storm of ideas" to promote communication and inspire wisdom, a "frontier" to boost industry-university-research-application cooperation and drive precise diagnosis and treatment, and a "bridge of friendship" connecting global talents and facilitating substantial cooperation.

Li Le, Dean of the Graduate School ofUniversity of South China, delivered a speech on behalf of the Graduate School. Qu Shunlin, Executive Vice Dean of Hengyang Medical College, presided over the opening ceremony. After the opening ceremony, 18 scholars from Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, Macao, Hong Kong, and mainland China delivered academic reports on fields such as precise cancer prevention and treatment, precision medical technology, flexible electronic biological applications, research and translation of rare diseases, and research on key disease target molecules and treatment of orthopedic diseases, and conducted in-depth discussions. The participating experts shared the latest research results and practical experiences, explored possible paths for interdisciplinary cooperation, and the on-site exchange atmosphere was warm.

This meeting has built a platform for academic exchanges and international industry-academia-research cooperation in the field of medical precision diagnosis and treatment. The heads of relevant units such as the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of the university and Hengyang Medical College, as well as representatives of teachers and students from various colleges and affiliated hospitals attended the meeting.
