In his address, Zhang Zhuohua extended a warm welcome to the young scholars attending the forum. He stated that the University of South China was founded to meet the needs of the nation’s atomic energy development and people’s health. Over its 65-year history, the university has developed distinct strengths in "nuclear-related characteristics," a "medical reputation," and "environmental protection strengths." Its mission is to gather outstanding talents to cultivate even more exceptional individuals."For years, the University of South China has remained committed to serving ‘national development and people's livelihood,’ making significant contributions to China’s nuclear industry, healthcare, and environmental protection," Zhang emphasized. "In recent years, we have steadfastly implemented a talent-first strategy, attracting high-level professionals at an accelerated pace. Our young and mid-career scholars, along with innovative teams, are thriving, producing a steady stream of national awards, major scientific projects, and high-impact research outcomes. These achievements have laid a solid foundation for our pursuit of high-quality development and the ‘Double First-Class’ initiative."He pledged that the university would spare no effort to provide young talents with the resources and platforms to realize their aspirations, adhering to the principles of "truly valuing talent, carefully cultivating talent, wholeheartedly attracting talent, and meticulously utilizing talent." "Through this forum, we hope to enable more young scholars to understand and connect with the University of South China, experience the dreams of our faculty and students, and feel the power of innovation," Zhang concluded. "We sincerely invite young scholars worldwide to pursue their dreams here, grow with us, and achieve shared progress and development!"
