Two sfaff members from the University have been awarded the "May 1 Labor Medals", according to the newsletter of the University.

Mr. Ding Dexin, professor of uranium mining, was awarded the provincial medal for his 35 years of dedication and contribution to the education and research in his field, while Mr. Yang Hongfa, a cardiovascular speicalist from the second affiliated hospital, was awarded the national medal for his deeds and feats in the anti-covid-pandemic battle in Hubei.
