On the morning of September 15, 2020, the opening ceremony of the class of 2020 freshmen of University of South China was held in the Track-and-Field Ground of the North Hongxiang Campus, which means that more than 10000 undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral students with youthful dreams have integrated into the South China family and embarked on a new journey in life.

Gao Shan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, presided over the opening ceremony.

President Zhang Zhuohua extended a warm welcome to all the new students and on behalf of the faculty and students.

At the ceremony, representatives of freshmen, old students, alumni and teachers made speeches.
