On the evening of December 26, the University held the 2018-2019 academic year student comprehensive commendation and "the most beautiful university student" excellent deeds report meeting in the lecture hall of Hongxiang campus.

The conference kicked off in the solemn national anthem. Liu Xuexue and Jiang Zhisheng， vice presidents, read out the commendation documents in turn. Winners of the national scholarship for undergraduates, national scholarship for postgraduates, the most beautiful university students, top honor students, outstanding student leaders, and winners of University scholarship and top ten advanced class groups, etc. were commended and awarded.

At the excellent deeds report meeting of "the most beautiful college students", five outstanding representatives reported their advanced deeds from the aspects of patriotism, self-improvement, academic research, and social services, combining their college life and personal experience.

Prof. Gao Shan, secretary of the Party committee of the University, congratulated the advanced collectives and outstanding individuals who have been praised, and called on all students to take those outstanding students as an example, keep in mind their original aspiration and mission, and embrace the new year and the future with their full enthusiasm, play an active role in, and contribute to the rapid development and high-level construction of the University. He unveiled to the teachers and students at the meeting the development plan of the school for the next year: first, continue to strengthen the construction of the campus, including running the canteen, renovating the dormitories and building new sports facilities, so as to serve the teachers and students, and enhance their sense of happiness and belonging; second, continue to improve the school conditions, increase the effort of recruitment and cultivation of talents, promote the level of teaching and research, and accelerate the development of the high-level construction of the school

More than 700 people attended the annual event, including representatives for students and teachers, and leaders of the University.
