On the early morning of Oct. 1, a grand flag-raising ceremony was held on the school plaza to celebrate the 70th anniversary of PRC founding. With the theme of "staying true to the original aspiration and carrying on the mission", the event was presided by Prof. He Xujuan and attended by more than 8000 teachers and students. Prof. Gao Shan, Party chief of USC, delivered a key-note speech at the gathering.
