December 9 -- A biomedicine forum, which was sponsored by Hunan Association of Genetics and University of South China, was held in the university. Attending the forum were Zhang Zhuohua, president of the University, and vice presidents Jiang Zhisheng, Chen Guomin, and Lei Xiaoyong.

Prof. Rao Zihe, Shuhongbin and Xu Tao, all member of China Academy of Science, and Pei Reiqing, Yangtze Scholar, joined the conference and gave academic reports.

Zhang spoke highly of the event and the scholars' lectures in his opening and concluding remarks.

Also attending the forum were professors and students from the medicine-related schools and doctors from the affiliated hospitals.
