May 18. The 2016 Provincial Award Ceremony for Sci-tech and Innovation was held in Hunan People's Auditorium to honor those scientists and experts who have made remarkable contribution in promotion and innovation in science and technology in the province.

A Study on "the Role and Mechanism of Gas Signal Molecule Hydrogen Sulfide in Senile- related Diseases", led by Prof. Jiang Zhisheng from University of South China, was awarded the first prize for Sciences.
