Beijing, Dec, 7,2015 - Chen Guoqiang, a 1985 graduate of Clinical Medicine from the University (the then Hengyang Medical College)has been elected member of Chinese Academy of Sciences, unveiled the results of 2015 member election of the CAS.

Chen, now vice president of Shanghai Jiaotong University and Dean of its Subordinate School of Medicine, is the second alumnus who have been granted such an title, preceded by his peer of the same batch, Prof. Doc. Zeng Yixin, president of Beijing Union Hospital.
